Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific Appoints South Korea Country Manager

Wongi Kim to take the helm from retiring country head Andy Ryoo

Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific is pleased to appoint Wongi Kim to the role of Country Manager for Allianz Trade in South Korea effective 1 April 2025. He is succeeding Andy Ryoo, a seasoned trade credit professional who is retiring after a stellar career that spans over 22 years with the company.

Mr Kim joined Allianz Trade in 2015 as Business Development Manager, a role he held for nearly eight years. In 2023, he was promoted to Commercial Manager to oversee both business development and account management teams, demonstrating his capacity to inspire and lead diverse teams toward achieving ambitious goals. Prior to Allianz Trade, Mr Kim spent over eight years with the Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company. Mr Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dongguk University.
