Xpeng and Volkswagen are exploring a strategic partnership focusing on joint procurement, charging, and new car models, emphasizing a deep collaboration beyond technology.
HONG KONG (Reuters) - Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng said on Wednesday that it's looking at more aspects of collaboration with Volkswagen such as joint procurement, charging and different car models.
"For our collaboration with Volkswagen, it’s always been a strategic one. It’s not simply about agreement on tech. It is more in depth," Xpeng's President Brian Gu told reporters in Hong Kong.
