JD Vance discusses the Trump administration's focus on economic and security partnerships with Europe at the Paris AI summit.
PARIS (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President JD Vance will discuss economic issues and security partnership with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, he said ahead of a bilateral meeting with her at an AI summit in Paris on Tuesday.
"The Trump administration has been very clear that we care a lot about Europe. We see a lot of economic relationship to build upon with Europe," he said.
"We also want to make sure that we're actually engaged in a security partnership that's good for both Europe and the United States."
