(Reuters) -Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney did not speak to U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday, a spokeswoman for Carney said, denying an earlier Reuters story.

Reuters, citing sources in Washington, said the two men had held their first call since Carney was elected leader of the ruling Liberal Party on March 9.
