KYIV (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy spoke by phone with U.S. President Donald Trump for around an hour on Wednesday evening, the Ukrainian president's office said.
The call came after Trump said he had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday about starting negotiations immediately with Moscow to end the war in Ukraine.
In his statement, Trump said he intended to call Zelenskiy to inform him of his conversation with the Russian leader.
