France deploys Rafale jets to Poland to secure airspace after drone incursions, emphasizing European security amid Russian threats.
PARIS (Reuters) - France will deploy three Rafale fighter jets to help Poland protect its airspace after this week's drone incursions into its airspace, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday on X.
"The security of the European continent is our top priority. We will not give in to Russia's increasing intimidation," he said.
A French military official said the warplanes had already been deployed to Poland prior to Tuesday's incursions.

Airspace security refers to the measures taken to protect a country's airspace from unauthorized access or threats, including military incursions and drone activities.
Rafale fighter jets are multi-role combat aircraft designed and manufactured by Dassault Aviation, used by the French military for various operations including air defense and ground attack.
Military deployment is the movement of armed forces to a specific location for operational purposes, often in response to security threats or international obligations.
