(Reuters) - A Russian drone struck an apartment building on Thursday evening in Zhytomyr region west of Kyiv, killing one person and injuring five, including a child, the regional governor said.
Governor Vitaliy Bunechko, in a video posted on the Telegram messaging app, said five buildings in Zhytomyr district had sustained damage in the strike. Much of the facade of the building standing behind him had been burned and smashed.
Public broadcaster Suspilne quoted residents as saying the attack struck the town of Ozerne, the site of a major military airfield.
