BERLIN (Reuters) -Thyssenkrupp bears a great responsibility in its strategic restructuring, a spokesperson for the German economy ministry said on Monday, commenting on the threat of job losses at the industrial conglomerate.
"The company naturally bears a great responsibility for the employees and the sites," the spokesperson said.
Asked if the company was in talks with the government on the issue, the spokesperson said he wasn't aware of any discussions and that the government would not comment on business decisions in the private sector.
