Putin plans to speak with Trump today, marking their sixth conversation this year amid ongoing US efforts for a Ukraine ceasefire.
MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday he was going to speak to U.S. President Donald Trump later in the day.
It will be the sixth publicly known conversation between the two leaders since Trump returned to the White House in January and comes amid so far unsuccessful U.S. efforts to broker a ceasefire in Ukraine.
The two men last spoke on June 14, in a call mostly focused on Iran.

Putin is scheduled to speak with Trump later on Thursday.
