Germany is organizing special flights for its citizens leaving Israel, utilizing routes from Jordan due to limited commercial options.
BERLIN (Reuters) -Germany will continue to organise special commercial flights out of Jordan for its citizens who are looking to leave Israel as long as there is a need and the situation permits, said a foreign ministry spokesperson in Berlin on Wednesday.
One flight, with a capacity of just under 200 seats, was already organised for Wednesday, and another is planned for Thursday, said the spokesperson.
"There are still commercial flight options from Amman. The border crossing from Israel to Jordan is open. But the exit options offered by commercial airlines are simply not sufficient. And that is why we are organising these special flights," he said.
