    MILAN (Reuters) -A&O Shearman said on Monday that Diego Esposito had joined its Milan team as a partner for leveraged finance, an area the law firm has been working on strengthening to widen its offer on private capital transactions.

    "Diego's arrival is an important step of our growth strategy and reflects our ambition to play a key role in the private capital market, at a time when leveraged finance is essential to support complex deals," said Paolo Nastasi, A&O Shearman managing partner in Italy.

    Esposito was a partner at Linklaters in Milan before joining A&O Shearman and his expertise, in addition to leveraged and acquisition finance, includes syndicated loans, corporate lending, high-yield bonds and private placements, the firm said.
