(Reuters) - Private equity firm Triton acquired automotive supplier Bosch's security and communications technology product business, both companies said on Thursday.

"The transaction encompasses three business units – Video, Access and Intrusion, and Communication – and thus the entire product business of Bosch Building Technologies that was offered for sale," Bosch said in a statement .

The acquisition represents Triton's second carve-out transaction with Bosch, after the Aventics sale in December 2013, Triton added.

The transaction, which purchase price is not disclosed, is expected to close by the end of the first half of 2025 pending regulatory approvals, the firms said.

Bosch's security and communications technology product unit generates more than 1 billion euros ($1.05 billion) in sales and employs 4,300 people.

    ($1 = 0.9530 euros)
