Germany will send Eurofighter jets to Poland this summer to aid NATO's air policing, with two Patriot units operational from Monday for six months.
JASIONKA NEAR RZESZOW, Poland (Reuters) - Germany will deploy Eurofighter jets to Poland in summer to support the air policing on NATO's eastern flank, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said on a visit to the Polish military airport Jasionka on Thursday.
Two Patriot units deployed to southeastern Poland will be fully up and running from Monday, he added, and protect the airspace in the region for six months.
