PARIS (Reuters) -French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot welcomed on Monday the result of the parliamentary election in Moldova, where the Moldovan pro-European Union ruling party won the vote.
"Nothing can stop a people which chooses democracy and freedom. Not even the desperate attempts at interference by a foreign party. France welcomes in brotherhood the sovereign choice of the Moldovan people to confirm its willingness to turn towards Europe," wrote Barrot on social media network X.
