ITA Airways extends its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until the end of the year due to ongoing conflict, offering passengers rebooking or refunds.
ROME (Reuters) -Italy's ITA Airways will extend the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until the end of the year, it said on Monday.
The decision also concerns two flights scheduled for New Year's Day 2026, the company, part of the Lufthansa group, said in a statement.
Israel's two-year-old war on Gaza, triggered by the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas, has led to several suspensions of flight connections.
ITA's services to and from Israel had been due to resume on November 2. "Passengers can either have their flight rebooked at a later date or refunded," the airline said.

A flight suspension is a temporary halt of scheduled flights to a specific destination, often due to safety concerns, operational issues, or external factors such as conflicts or natural disasters.
Passengers affected by a flight suspension typically have options to rebook their flights for a later date or request a refund for their tickets.
