Germany, France, and Britain remain committed to diplomatic efforts with Iran, urging compliance with obligations despite UN sanctions.
BERLIN (Reuters) -Germany, France and Britain will "continue to pursue diplomatic channels and negotiations" despite the reimposition of U.N. sanctions on Iran, the countries said in a joint statement circulated by the German Foreign Ministry on Monday.
"The reinstatement of U.N. sanctions does not mean the end of diplomacy," the statement said. "We urge Iran to refrain from any escalatory actions and to resume compliance with its legally binding obligations regarding safeguards."

Compliance refers to the process of ensuring that a company or organization adheres to laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to its business operations.
U.N. sanctions are measures imposed by the United Nations to influence a country's behavior, often in response to violations of international law or threats to peace.
A joint statement is an official communication issued by two or more parties, often to express a shared position or agreement on specific issues.
