InPost Teams Up with ASOS for Next-Day Delivery Service in the UK

(This May 12 story has been corrected to remove the reference to InPost being the UK's first next-day out-of-home delivery service)

(Reuters) - Parcel locker company InPost has partnered British online fashion retailer ASOS to introduce a next-day out-of-home (OOH) delivery service, InPost said on Monday.

The addition of the D+1 delivery service gives InPost the largest network of parcel lockers and PUDO points in the United Kingdom, with a total of 12,800 locations.

The new partnership follows InPost's acquisition of British courier company Yodel in April, which significantly expanded its delivery capabilities and positioned it as the third-largest independent logistics operator in the UK.

InPost said that the Yodel acquisition accelerated its UK expansion by five years, estimating that annual parcel volumes will increase to about 300 million, its seller base will expand immediately to more than 700 online retailers and its market share will increase to approximately 8%.
