UK's financial watchdog probes BDO audit of Home REIT for 2021

(Reuters) - Britain's financial watchdog said on Tuesday it was investigating BDO LLP's audit of Home REIT's statements for the financial year that ended in August 2021.

Home REIT specializes in providing sheltered housing for homeless people throughout the United Kingdom. The company and accounting firm BDO did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The investigation is being conducted by the Financial Reporting Council's (FRC) Enforcement Division, the regulator said in a statement without disclosing further details.
