BERLIN (Reuters) -German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will visit countries outside the transatlantic region in the coming weeks and months to discuss trade relations, he told the Bundestag lower house of parliament on Wednesday.
"New trade agreements with global partners are crucial for our export-oriented economy," said Merz, which is why he will visit partners "to open up concrete opportunities for us, also in our national interest".
