Tesla's car sales in Germany fell by over 50% in July 2023, while the overall market for electric vehicles grew by 58%, according to KBA.
(Reuters) -Tesla's sales volume in Germany more than halved in July, the German road traffic agency KBA said on Tuesday, although sales of battery electric vehicles rose overall.
KBA said Tesla sold 1,110 cars in Germany in July, down by 55.1% from a year earlier. The number of Teslas sold in the January-July period dropped 57.8% to 10,000 units, compared with the same period last year.
By contrast, the total number of newly registered electric vehicles increased by 58% in July to 48,614 units, KBA added.

In the January-July period, Tesla sold 10,000 units, marking a 57.8% decrease compared to the previous year.
