DHL and Verdi Union have agreed on a 5% wage increase for postal workers, with raises in 2025 and 2026.
DUESSELDORF, Germany (Reuters) - German trade union Verdi and logistics company DHL, which runs the national postal service, said on Tuesday they have reached a wage deal that will see workers' salaries increase by 5% over two stages by next year.
Under the agreement, wages will increase by 2% as of April 1 2025, with another 3% raise on April 1, 2026, both sides said in statements.

The wage agreement will result in a total increase of 5%, with a 2% raise effective April 1, 2025, and an additional 3% increase on April 1, 2026.
The German trade union Verdi is the organization that has reached the wage deal with DHL.
The first wage increase of 2% will take effect on April 1, 2025.
DHL operates the national postal service in Germany, providing logistics and delivery services.
