Alpha Bank is set to acquire AstroBank in Cyprus for €200 million, with the transaction expected to close by late 2025. AstroBank operates 15 branches in Cyprus.
ATHENS (Reuters) -Greek Alpha Bank Services and Holdings said on Thursday it has reached a binding agreement to buy small Cypriot bank AstroBank for about 200 million euros.
The transaction will take place through Alpha Bank Cyprus, which is Alpha Bank's unit in Cyprus, and is expected to be concluded in the last quarter of 2025.
The small Cypriot bank has 15 branches, 2.2 billion euros of deposits and 800 million euros of loans, Alpha Bank said.

Alpha Bank has agreed to buy AstroBank for approximately 200 million euros.
The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the last quarter of 2025.
AstroBank operates 15 branches across Cyprus.
AstroBank has 2.2 billion euros in deposits and 800 million euros in loans.
The transaction will be conducted through Alpha Bank Cyprus, which is the bank's unit in Cyprus.
