Albania's Socialist Party, led by Edi Rama, leads the parliamentary election with 52.85% of votes, while the Democratic Party follows with 34.27%.
TIRANA (Reuters) - Prime Minister Edi Rama's Socialist Party took a strong lead in Albania's parliamentary election, securing 52.85% of the vote with 29% of the ballots counted, state election commission results showed on Monday.
The opposition Democratic Party was placed second with 34.27% of the votes.
