Airbus secures a contract to equip 23 German A400M aircraft with infrared protection systems, enhancing defense against heat-seeking missiles.
(Reuters) - Airbus has signed a contract to install infrared protection systems on 23 German Air Force A400M transport aircraft, the planemaker said on Friday.
The deal with Germany's procurement agency BAAINBw will equip the military planes with Directed Infrared Counter Measures technology to defend against heat-seeking missiles during operations, Airbus said.
