The Customer

Founded in 2010, 360 Global net helps global organisations in industries such as insurance, construction, healthcare and government analyse unstructured data, such as video and images, allowing them to make faster decisions, improve customer service and reduce costs.

360 Global net system designers and software developers use technologies, such as video over internet, crowdsourcing, live streaming and even UAV (drones), to collect and share information. This maximisesthe benefits of mobile devices for operational roles as diverse as Insurance Assessors, Property Landlords, Maintenance Engineers and Medical Professionals.

The Challenge

Rather than build its own analysis and data visualisation platform, 360Globalnet was looking for technology that could be quickly embedded into both existing solutions and future developments, and would also offer customers flexible reporting and actionable intelligence from a wide range of structured and unstructured data sources gathered.

90% of enterprise information is now unstructured data, such as images, rich media and PDF documents, and yet 360Globalnet felt that traditional business intelligence (BI) solutions tend to focus on the remaining 10%.

John Galsworthy, Chief Technology Officer, 360Globalnet, explained: “Many organisations never fully utilise their information assets or establish a full picture of business performance.”

With a wide range of operational users to support, the company needed confidence that its BI partner could offer personalised data visualisations on any device, and be sure that these visualisations would be easy to build so that every end user could be self-sufficient.

The Solution

Although not all organisations require real-time analytics, the reality is that more and more companies –including 360Globalnet’s customers – have mission critical business applications that require operational insights. To deliver these insights, 360Globalnet embedded LogiAnalytics into a range of solutions for its customers – solutions that transform the ability to respond to events, speed-up business processes and are quick and simple to deploy from Amazon Web Services.

John Galsworthy continued: “We needed to embed a proven, agile and secure business intelligence solution into our products that would deliver real value to our customers. Logi Analytics was the perfect choice and is now a 360Globalnet strategic partner.”

360Globalnet customers often collect and share sensitive and personal information that is tightly regulated such as insurance claims and medical records. This means that robust, easy to deploy security was an important factor in choosing the right BI partner. 360Globalnet was impressed by Logi’s granular control of data access, using its elemental design approach to support authorisations at an element, report, dashboard and data/record-level through a single sign-on.

When working with people at the front line of any business, knowing whether targets are being met may only be the first step towards performance measurement and improvement. As 360Globalnet customers collect data from the scene of complex incidents using video or images, they can find discrepancies between pre-defined measures and the reality at the scene of an incident. Understanding and reacting to these differences takes performance analysis beyond a tick box approach, engaging operational staff in the process of accurate and commercial decision making.

“It was important that any BI solution we chose had a structured write-back capability. In our experience, operational teams or specialists who assess complex situations, such as damage or accidents, can find that reporting parameters don’t fit every situation. Using Logi’s write back capability, people working at the sharp end can now report and potentially fine tune or even change metrics. Working with Logi Analytics means that we now have a unique proposition for sharing and analysing data across an entire organisation,”said John Galsworthy.

360Globalnet customers now use Logi Info to inform decisions in the field every day

The Results

360Globalnet customers now use Logi Info to inform decisions in the field every day. The range of reporting and analysis applications is vast. Transforming the speed and accuracy of insurance claims by using pictures to assess damage and arrange a quote for repair, whilst maintaining a clear audit trail to reduce fraud is just one example. The solutions are so easy to use that companies can now employ qualified third parties close to the scene of incidents to record and analyse information. This innovation has reduced administrative and resourcing bottlenecks and improved customer satisfaction for several customers. In specialised applications, global experts can evaluate the impact of structural damage to buildings and bridges using evidence collected using UAV drones whilst they are in their office,on the other side of the world.

360Globalnet’s extensive capability to manipulate and mine unstructured data has enabled it to transform business processes for its customers, helping them to literally ‘see’ incidents and use this to decide the best way to react in real-time.360Globalnet’s partnership with Logi Analytics means that organisations don’t have to wait for the dreaded ‘data integration’ phase of any project to start seeing results with on-demand access to data via SQL style queries to data connections.KPIs and performance metrics can now be accessed and analysed in real-time by operational teams and throughout an organisation’s management hierarchy.

“We can help organisations re-engineer the way decisions are made by transforming the type and speed of information sharing. Working with Logi we have already created over 600 types of visualisations, such as widget-based charts, heat maps, gauges, maps, tables and link charts – all of which can be easily embedded in other web systems – and we have only just begun to realise the possibilities,”concluded John Galsworthy.
