NB Europe BCN - Global Banking | FinanceNext Bank Europe, the conference for fintech innovators taking place in Barcelona 18 and 19 September 2014, will be organizing two pre-conference workshops on 17 September: Hacking Finance Tech @ is a technical workshop aimed at developers & designers and Hacking Finance Biz @ is a business workshop for fintech innovators in general.

Hacking Finance Tech @ is a fintech hackathon where programmers, designers and business people will be brought together to brainstorm and create software for fields such as retail banking, capital markets, payments and big data and will have access to the Open Bank Project API, as well other APIs, to bring their solutions to life. At the end of the day the participants will demo their game-changing hacks to a panel of fintech entrepreneurs and innovators who will select the technical solution with the most impact on the industry. The best hack will be invited to present at Next Bank Europe. Hacking Finance Tech @ is co-organized by the Open Bank Project and Next Bank Europe, with the support of Barcelona Activa.

The workshop gathers fintech entrepreneurs and innovators from financial institutions to examine how networked business models, where value is delivered by consumers to consumers and companies become enablers of this value exchange, have the potential to hugely impact the industry. The most impactful business solution created at the workshop will be chosen to present at Next Bank Europe. Hacking Finance Biz @ is co-organized by Claro Partners and Next Bank Europe, with the support of BeeOne.
