What is SEZ?

SEZ stands for “Special Economic Zones”. SEZ refers to a particular zone, area, or special region assigned with government intervention within states of various countries for pooling foreign direct investments related with particular business such as IT, Manufacturing, FMCG sectors. They may also be exempted or pay a lower rate for duties and taxes, and receive subsidised provision for water and electricity thus enhancing global relationship between trades of two countries.
