The RMR Group Inc. (Nasdaq: RMR) today announced that its majority owned operating subsidiary, The RMR Group LLC (RMR LLC), received the 2019 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for its outstanding efforts as a Service and Product Provider in executing ENERGY STAR related activities at buildings it manages on behalf of its client companies. These accomplishments will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 11, 2019.
RMR LLC is responsible for providing all aspects of property management services to more than 700 buildings containing over 75 million square feet of commercial office, industrial, medical office, life science and retail space. In total, RMR LLC manages 86 buildings that are ENERGY STAR certified.
As a result of RMR LLCs energy management programs, one of its client companies, Office Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: OPI), also received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award in 2019 and 2018.
