World’s First End-to-End IoT Subscription Service for Remote Monitoring Launched by Hiber With Oil & Gas Well Integrity Monitoring to Prevent Leakage & Build a More Sustainable Practice

gbafNews28

Dutch satellite Internet-of-Things (IoT) solution startup, Hiber, today announces the launch of HiberHilo, its first end-to-end solution for Oil & Gas Well Integrity Monitoring. HiberHilo is also the worlds first subscription service for IoT-enabled remote Oil/Gas Well monitoring and the company will be introducing similar services for other specific use cases in 2021.

There is a growing demand for remote monitoring in industries such as Oil & Gas to create more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, especially with COVID-19 limiting travel halting routine maintenance checks. However, the IoT SaaS market in this space is nascent and lacks simplicity. Having already been one of the first firms to develop a remote IoT connectivity solution with the launch of its proprietary nano-satellites in 2018, Hiber identified the urgent need for readily available out-the-box end-to-end subscription based offerings. These must be designed bespoke for particular use cases, as well as being simple and efficient for businesses to install and implement.

The HiberHilo solution for Oil & Gas Well Integrity Monitoring is the first offering of this kind that Hiber will launch because this process is currently complex, time-consuming and expensive (costing up to $40,000 per field visit). Additionally, manual monitoring is prone to error and is often not conducted frequently enough.

Monitoring is critical to ensure that anomalies are identified early and addressed – this can include potential leaks which, if left unaddressed, can impact peoples health and safety as well as negatively impact the environment. HiberHilos out-of-the-box subscription solution utilises Hibers global satellite network to empower organisations to automate continuous annulus pressure and wellhead monitoring of up to 250 wells in a radius of 10km, even in the most remote locations on Earth. Pricing starts at $449 per month per well (1 sensor and a 5 year contract).

The all-in-one product is available as both a starter kit and in the form of an enterprise solution, both of which feature:

  • A pressure and optional temperature sensor to ensure accurate and regular measurements – organisations can add more sensors to the network if required
  • Easy connectivity anywhere, sending up to 24 messages a day or one per hour
  • Alarm and alert settings
  • An intuitive dashboard for desktop and mobile
  • Support both on-site and via mobile

Coen Janssen, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Hiber said, We are excited to launch this first-of-its-kind IoT proposition for remote monitoring at a time when it is needed more than ever. HiberHilo has already been proven by Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) and Royal Dutch Shell (better known as just Shell) on an abandoned on-shore well. This technology can be installed in less than 2 hours and within 0.25% accuracy levels of a traditional wired system, which is extremely reliable.

We look forward to more companies embracing this new proposition as it will save them time, money and lives by allowing teams to monitor well integrity from home as well as reducing the risk of well integrity issues to create more sustainable practices. The future for remote monitoring is very bright!

Hiber entered the market in 2018 purely as a connectivity provider, utilising its own proprietary nano-satellite technology to unlock IoT connectivity in the 90% of the world without it. For more information on HiberHilo visit: hiberhilo.com or watch this video.

About Hiber

Hiber is an Internet of Things (IoT) solution startup, founded and led by a dream team of satellite experts and tech entrepreneurs. These ‘Hibernauts’ are working on a moonshoot goal: to launch and provide end-to-end IoT solutions connected by satellites in space. More than 55 employees work on the ground-breaking technology behind Hiber and Hiberband at its offices in the Netherlands and USA.

To date, the company has managed to attract significant funding. This has meant that in November 2018 Hiber became the Netherlands first commercial satellite company, launching its first two nano-satellites into orbit. Hiber officially launched at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Re:invent Conference in November 2018 where they were named Commercial Startup Launch of 2018 at the AWS conference.

HKGSEO Provides Free Website SEO Analysis and Consulting Services

gbafNews28

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – 5 January 2021 – The COVID-19 epidemic has lasted for nearly a year. The sharp fall in the street traffic has been affecting core shopping districts everywhere. In addition, under the “Anti-epidemic Fund”, the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) launched the ” Distance Business (D-Biz) Programme subsidy. Increasing number of large and medium-sized enterprises have turned to the online market, setting up websites and opening online shops, in an effort to open up online sales channels to recover some of their businesses during the epidemic.

As many companies are not familiar with website technology, website optimization and SEO promotion are often ignored. In fact, SEO is one of the highest ROI of many online marketing channels and it is worthy of a long-term investment.

HKGSEO has performed SEO for more than 500 enterprises, with the SEO process bringing considerable traffic and sales to the companies. Leveraging on their years of experience, they now provide free website analysis (worth HK$2,000) for all content types. Here are some website analysis projects HKGSEO has engaged in:

CMS Web Content Management System

We recommend using the most popular CMS in the market to build a website. Well-known CMS such as WordPress, Wix, Shopline, and Shopify will make it easier to manage web content and make the website easier to crawl and index by search engines.

HKGSEO hence cautions against web design companies that use their own CMS. Generally speaking, these websites are not SEO friendly. For example, they might have undesirable attributes such as duplicate page titles, dynamic URLs, or category pages that cannot update new content, etc. These attributes are disadvantageous to implementing SEO plans, which ultimately leads to the redesigning of the entire website, resulting in a much higher cost.

SSL Website Security Certificate

If your website does not have an SSL certificate (HTTPS) installed, it will be marked as an insecure website by the browser, which will adversely affect the credibility and conversion rate. SSL should be installed immediately to protect customer information, especially for e-commerce websites. There are some free SSLs available on the market, such as Let’s Encrypt, with paid premium certificates recommendation by online shops.

Mobile Version of The Website

The latest personal computer and Internet penetration survey published by the Census and Statistics Department shows that more than 5.97 million people in Hong Kong have mobile phones, and 99.7% of the users access the Internet on smartphones, higher than those connected to computers or other devices. Besides, Google has launched the Mobile-First Indexing mobile version of content priority indexing. If your website does not have a mobile version, the ranking will be poor and a lot of traffic will be lost.

Website Loading Speed

According to research, more than 68% of viewers will leave a website when it takes more than 3 seconds to open. The main reason for the slow loading is the use of shared hosting or non-local hosting. Switching to local hosting, SSD or CDN can effectively improve the loading speed.

Website Content

Is the website content of high quality? Does it answer the questions of potential consumers? To build up the content, some corporate websites have piled up keywords, and some have published blog articles regularly. However the content of the articles is sometimes plagiarized from news media. Plagiarism makes search engines recognize the overall website quality as low, which will in turn affect the ranking.

Websites and online shops are platforms that promote businesses. An optimized website will reward twice the results with half the effort of both online and offline marketing campaigns combined.

Treetop International School adopts Upper Air UVC to ensure safe indoor air

gbafNews28

Heightened hygiene standards to prepare for school re-opening in 2021

  • First education institution in Malaysia to install Upper Air UVGI disinfection to keep indoor air safe
  • 35 units of these revolutionary air sterilizers installed, and works in tandem with split unit air conditioners
  • Active indoor air management is becoming a new norm as business capacity returns

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach – 22 December 2020 – Schools have been deeply impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and virtual classrooms have taken over physical ones. Whilst school premises remain empty for most of 2020, classes have been conducted in the digital environment, leaving many parents distraught over the challenge of lower engagement and increased distractions as compared to physical classrooms environments, a format which still yields superior results and deeper learning by students, according to assistant to MD of Tree Top International School, Ms Loh Lin Khuan.

“We wanted to regain a safe indoor environment so that students could be physically present and focus better in an experiential learning environment. The online learning environment made it harder to develop inter-personal communication skills and also requires a lot of self-discipline from the student. So it was critical for us to find a solution to keep the indoor spaces in Tree Top at its safest level so as to reduce the level of anxiety everyone experienced for the better part of 2020” said Ms Loh

Like many other educational institutions, Tree Top International School uses split unit air-conditioning systems and the challenge to sanitise over 350,000 cubic feet of indoor air proved to be a huge challenge. Most of these systems do not allow for ventilation.

Ms Loh further added: “We have made efforts to sanitise surfaces but realised there was no systematic way to sanitise large volumes of air without investing in intrusive air ducts and cumbersome ventilation blowers and filters. At the end of the day, students still want a quiet, cool learning environment which meant that air conditioners had to be kept running with the windows and doors shut to prevent heat, noise and dust from entering the premises. This put us in a difficult balance between the need for a comfortable indoor environment and biologically clean air”

“As scientists started to uncover more evidence of airborne transmission of Covid-19 and international guidelines were surfacing on how to prepare school premises for safe indoor environment, we knew we had to find an effective solution to achieve safe indoor air fast and economically.

This classroom in Treetop International school features an Upper Air UVC luminaire designed and supplied by TheUVC.co

At the end of the day, the Tree Top International School management decided to proceed with the Upper Air UVC units, supplied by TheUVC.co, featuring a unique design that sanitises incoming air with a UVC lamp and a photocatalytic air filter as it enters the split unit air conditioner.

“When we were first introduced to the idea of this UV attachment, we were sceptical how a simple UV light can purify the air, but after some research, we discovered it has been used successfully for over 70 years to fight Tuberculosis and Measles, both contagious airborne diseases. We realised It is indeed a very efficient way to biologically clean the indoor air, not much different from how our sun sanitises the outdoor air.”

With this new air disinfection system in place, perhaps there is fresh hope for a new normality for the students and teachers at Tree Top International School as they return to their learning environment with the help of these novel air sterilizers come January 2021.
