Tuscan Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:THCBU) (the Company) announced today that it has completed its initial public offering of 24,000,000 units. Each unit consists of one share of the Companys common stock, par value $.0001 per share (Common Stock), and one warrant entitling the holder to purchase one share of Common Stock at a price of $11.50 per share. The units were sold at an offering price of $10.00 per unit, generating gross proceeds of $240,000,000 to the Company. The units have been listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market (Nasdaq) and trade under the ticker symbol THCBU. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the common stock and warrants are expected to be traded on Nasdaq under the symbols “THCB” and “THCBW,” respectively. Of the proceeds received from the consummation of the initial public offering and a simultaneous private placement of units, $240,000,000 (or $10.00 per share sold in the offering) was placed in trust. An audited balance sheet of the Company as of March 7, 2019 reflecting receipt of the proceeds upon consummation of the initial public offering and the private placement will be included as Exhibit 99.1 to a Current Report on Form 8-K to be filed by the Company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
