STATS, the worldwide leader in sports data and intelligence, announced that Matt Davidowitz, product manager of media and technology, will present at the Sports Video Group (SVG) Sports Graphics Forum at the Microsoft Technology Center in New York City on Wednesday, March 6.
Davidowitz will present on the panel, Managing the Data-Feed Tsunami: Player-Tracking, Betting, Biometrics, and Beyond. The panel will focus on new opportunities for on-air graphics, with the popularity of odds for legalized gaming and the deluge of new player data. The panel will be moderated by Brandon Costa, director of digital at Sports Video Group, and will include an overview of how new developments in AI-powered data collection and analysis will create new opportunities for on-air storytelling.
With the legalization of sports gaming and the popularity of player-tracking data, it is important that broadcast and data providers create curated content that meets the interests of a wide-variety of sports fans, said Davidowitz. At STATS, we are using the latest in AI to pull tracking data directly from broadcast, creating the opportunity to include tracking data in the broadcast of any sport at any level. We are also using AI to deliver odds and predictions that are more accurate, providing valuable information to share on-screen.
