State Street Leaders Recognized as Champions of Women in Business


State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT) today announced that six of its leaders have been recognized by the Financial Times and HERoes Champions of Women in Business 2018. The lists celebrate leaders who are increasing gender diversity in the workplace and support the promotion of women to senior business roles. Each person was scored on the seniority and influence of their role, their work done internally and externally to champion women, their recent and significant business achievements and the testimonial provided with their nomination.

The following State Street executives were recognized:

FT & HERoes 100 Female Executives

  • Cristina Ferreira, head of Regulatory Solutions and Innovation, Luxembourg
  • Hannah Grove, chief marketing officer, Boston
  • Rakhi Kumar, State Street Global Advisors head of ESG investments and asset stewardship, Boston

FT & HERoes 50 Male Executives

  • Joerg Ambrosius, co-head of Global Services, EMEA, Munich
  • Ron OHanley, president and chief operating officer, Boston

FT & HERoes 50 Female Future Leaders

  • Pauline Wong, head of Global Services, Hong Kong

All of the 2018 Champions of Women in Business were nominated by peers and colleagues. Nominations were then reviewed by the FT and HERoes judging panel, consisting of: Mellody Hobson, President, Ariel Investments; Mark Wilson, CEO, Aviva; Gigi Chao, Vice Chairman, Cheuk Nang Holdings Limited; Helena Morrissey, Head of Personal Investing, Legal & General Investment Management; Suki Sandhu, Founder & CEO, INvolve and Harriet Arnold, Assistant Editor, Special Reports, Financial Times.

These lists have been created with one aim “ to create gender parity in workplaces across the globe, said Founder of INvolve and HERoes, Suki Sandhu. The role models were recognizing arent just those who have achieved success themselves “ theyre those who are committed to lifting others with them as they climb, and ultimately fueling the female talent pipeline.
