Nevada Virtual Academy Opens Enrollments for 2019-2020 School Year

Nevada Virtual Academy (NVVA), an online public charter school, is now accepting enrollments for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. The tuition-free public school is available for students in 6th through 12th grade throughout the state.

NVVA offers a blend of online and face-to-face instruction for students not on grade level or for those who are credit deficient.

Students receive the support and resources needed to pursue and reach their academic goals. Advanced independent learners can progress at an accelerated pace, while those who find content and concepts more challenging will receive additional live instruction and support to ensure academic success.

NVVA provides an approach to learning that helps prepare students for post-graduation college or career success, says Yolanda Hamilton, Head of School at NVVA. Our students thrive in this personalized learning environment and our staff is committed to providing them with a superior education experience.

All NVVA students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and music. Electives include world languages in middle and high school, as well as high school honors and AP courses. NVVA also offers student clubs, field trips, social outings, and other activities to foster a sense of school community, including an in-person graduation ceremony in the spring.

Applications are being accepted during the open enrollment window, which runs from Thursday, Feb. 28 through 4 p.m. PST on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Families are encouraged to attend an in-person or online information session hosted by the school. For more information on how to enroll, and for a schedule of upcoming events, visit
