Family law firm Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers Partner Felicia R. Meyers is among this weeks honorees in the Los Angeles Business Journals annual special supplement honoring 75 of the Citys most influential women attorneys.
Meyers focuses primarily on complex litigation and trials, leveraging her extensive experience as a civil litigator prior to joining the firm in 2005, says the special supplement, published today. She has led successful legal efforts relating to cutting edge family law issues such as international move-away cases, custody cases involving special needs children and domestic violence.
The report adds that Meyers, has been involved in diverse, complex trials in courtrooms across California. She was lead trial counsel in the recent MacIlwaine decision, which is now the defining case that deems stock options as income (when vested) for purposes of calculating child support and one of the lead attorneys in J.M. v G.H., an international move-away case where the Court of Appeal upheld the trial courts ruling allowing the mother to move with the minor child to Israel.
Los Angeles Business Journal Publisher and CEO Anna Magzanyan explained that the honorees have been recognized for exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large¦there are some particularly stellar attorneys in the LA region who happen to be women¦thank you for working to keep the people and businesses of LA on the right track.
