Maana, the pioneer of digital knowledge technology, announced today the addition of veteran Silicon Valley marketing executive, Julia Ochinero, as Vice President of Marketing. Ochinero is responsible for driving strategic planning and shaping growth initiatives for Maanas integrated marketing efforts.
Prior to joining Maana, Ochinero led marketing for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) telecommunications industry business as the Worldwide Senior Director of Marketing. During her tenure, she was responsible for marketing its Telco portfolio which included taking HPEs Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solution from its lab to commercial deployment and launching its highly successful Telco-focused New Business of the Network campaign.
Before HPE, Ochinero ran marketing at a number of early-stage companies resulting in acquisitions by Sun Microsystems, Nuance Communications and NBC Internet. As a director at Cunningham Communications, a prominent public relations firm in Silicon Valley during the early stages of the dot.com era, she managed the positioning projects and accounts of Adobe, Novell and RealNetworks.

She started her career at public relations agencies in Chicago. One of her clients, Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), hired and relocated her to Silicon Valley to launch its Palo Alto Center for Strategic Technology.
A recognized industry leader, Ochinero was selected to participate in HPEs Executive Leadership Education program and has been a panelist and moderator at various industry events.
Ochinero has a bachelors degree in Journalism and Creative Advertising (Communications) from Bradley University in Peoria, IL.
