M8, a multicultural digital agency who is part of iProspect, today announced that it has won a Silver Effie Award for its work with Sprint on the Fºtbol Mode campaign. In its first year since being acquired by the Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), M8 has been recognized for breaking down silos and showcasing the importance of digital and cultural expertise when it comes to finding opportunities for growth for brands. The award, which was given in the Internet and Telecom category, highlights a predominantly Spanish language campaign launched prior to the 2018 World Cup and aimed at providing hacks to view the soccer games during work and school hours without anyone around them taking notice. M8 collaborated with Omnicoms Alma on the campaign.
Were incredibly proud of the results weve achieved for Sprint with the Fºtbol Mode campaign. This Effie Award, in the Internet & Telecom category for a Hispanic consumer focused effort, is a testament to the boundaries you can cross with remarkable creativity, culturally relevant ideas and strong agency partnerships, said Sprints Vice President of Marketing, Alberto Lorente.
The Effie Awards are one of the best-known awards in the industry, recognizing marketing on a global scale that truly moves the needle for brands and contributes to their overall success. With more than 50 separate awards across the world, the award program is a true symbol of achievement for any agency or brand recognized.
Brands are facing new challenges in finding opportunities for growth. With one in five consumers being Hispanic and almost half of the U.S. expected to identify as multicultural by 2025, an opportunity for growth is there for those thoughtful brands willing to truly commit to being culturally relevant and present in their lives, said John Santiago, CEO of M8. Were proud to work with clients like Sprint who take a bold and inclusive approach in finding opportunities to grow their business, while uniquely addressing and adding value to each of their diverse customers.
Last April, M8 was acquired by DAN and aligned with iProspect to continue to build expertise in driving performance and new growth for clients through culturally relevant ideas, creativity and distribution.
M8 has been a tremendous addition to the iProspect family. Their unique take on omnichannel digital experiences, as well as their keen understanding of multicultural consumers and brand relevance, deliver incredible value and performance for clients, as shown by this well-deserved Effie win,” said Jeremy Cornfeldt, CEO, iProspect U.S.
Since the acquisition, M8 has been on a new business-winning spree, securing new work and partnerships with Avocados from Mexico, Stanley Black & Decker and Hertz, among others.
M8 helps to craft meaningful relationships between brands and consumers in a Connected LifeTM.
A team of performance-driven, creative, multicultural, multiscreen marketers who combine creative storytelling, data & insights and technology to create experiences that connect people with the brands that add value to their lives.
