Horizon Investments, an industry-recognized goals-based asset management firm, has promoted Carlos Barbosa to Eastern Divisional Director and Scott Ferrette to Western Divisional Director, the firm announced today. The two promotions are part of Horizons ongoing expansion of its distribution network in support of the growing demand for its goals-based investment solutions.
Barbosa is based in Connecticut and will oversee Horizons sales territories for the Midwest, Southeast and East Coast; Ferrette is based in California and will oversee Horizons sales territories for the West Coast, Northwest and Alaska. Both will report to John Drahzal, Head of Distribution.
Barbosa previously served as regional director for Horizons Northeast territory “ providing practice support to financial advisors. Prior to joining the firm, he was a vice president with First Trust Portfolios. Before that, he spent six years at several large firms including Prudential Financial and Allstate Financial.
Ferrette was previously regional director for Horizons sales in the West region. Before that, he served as an institutional money manager and income planner at several Wall Street firms.
In their new roles, Barbosa and Ferrette will focus on supporting the firms regional directors to empower advisors with strategies that help their clients achieve financial objectives throughout life.
