Government Marketing University and American Marketing Association Washington, D.C., Chapter Expand Partnership


Government Marketing University (GMarkU), an innovative, collaborative community-based organization committed to knowledge sharing and skills development in the field of public sector marketing, today announced an expanded partnership with American Marketing Association Washington, D.C. Chapter (AMADC) to increase skills-based training, cross-promote events and drive marketing community networking opportunities.

The organizations are promoting two marquee events this fall, including:

AMADC is kicking-off its fall networking season with a happy hour on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 5:30 “ 7:30 pm at City Winery in the neighborhood of Ivy City, NE D.C. Guests can enjoy the award-winning urban winery with locally sourced fare while they network with marketers and thought leaders across the private and public sectors. The event draws attendance from professionals across corporate, media, government, association, and nonprofit sectors. AMADC is the fourth largest chapter of the American Marketing Association and it provides local networking, career resources, and skill-based and educational programming to marketing professionals throughout the region.

We are looking forward to launching AMADCs fall networking season with our friends at GMarkU to help connect public and private sector marketers throughout the region, said Stephanie Sikorski, president of AMADC. Our partnership with Government Marketing University supports our combined efforts to help propel the marketing community and delivers on our commitment to provide outstanding support and opportunities to marketing professionals locally and across the country.

Additionally, the GAIN 2018 Conference on November 1, 2018, is GMarkUs premier, independent educational and networking event focused on advancing the government marketing community. Attendees can expect deep-dive discussions with former and current Federal CIOs and IT executives, high-quality marketing content, government-marketing specific certifications, and the opportunity to network with peers, vendors and service providers. The event attracts over 200 government-marketing professionals and public sector leaders who are looking to enhance marketing ROI for their agency.
