Alliance Advisors, a proxy solicitation and governance advisory firm, is pleased to announce that James Miller will be joining the firm as a Managing Director in our Corporate Governance Group. In 2008, Jim joined ISS in the M&A Edge Team covering proxy contests and contentious mergers, before becoming head of the Financial Sector Group and Deputy Head of U.S. Research. He has written and reviewed hundreds of reports, contentious and non-contentious, and led numerous high-profile engagements with issuers and investors. Prior to ISS, Jim held many roles in corporate finance and brings decades of institutional knowledge in corporate governance and finance, M&A, shareholder engagement and fund management to the role. Jim holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from UCLA. Jim is also a CFA charter holder and a licensed CPA.
