Exabeam, the next-gen SIEM company, today announced the appointment of Kei Mitsuyama to regional sales director, Japan. His appointment will help to build on Exabeams growing momentum in the region following the recent decision by Japanese technology giant NTT DATA Corporation to deploy Exabeams Security Management Platform (SMP) to secure its global operations.
Mitsuyama brings a wealth of experience in enterprise sales in the Japanese market to Exabeam, having held senior sales positions at Cybereason Japan, FireEye KK, Digital Arts Inc. and Oracle Corp Japan over a 20-year career.
Kei Mitsuyamas expertise in cybersecurity enterprise sales will prove invaluable to Exabeam as we continue to grow and disrupt the SIEM market in Japan with our next-generation approach to security intelligence. His experience will be a significant asset within our organization, and we are pleased to welcome him to the team, said Gareth Cox, Exabeam VP of Sales, APJ.
SIEM is one of the fastest growing segments in security, and Exabeam is going head to head and winning against many of the major legacy providers due to its behavior-based approach to security management and its flat pricing model. These innovations drew me to the company, said Mitsuyama. I look forward to contributing to its impressive growth by exploiting key market opportunities in Japan.
Mitsuyama joins the company only weeks after NTT DATA announced it had chosen Exabeams SMP to secure its internal system, which is used in more than 50 countries and regions, 210 cities and by approximately 110,000 employees worldwide.
Exabeams SMP provides NTT DATA with scalable behavioral modeling, machine learning and advanced analytics for comprehensive insider and entity threat detection throughout Japan, APAC, North America and Europe. This functionality is vital to the NTT DATA team, which requires greater visibility into potential cyberthreats throughout the organization and in all locations around the world.
SMP provides superior threat identification and response capabilities with a more affordable, predictable pricing model than legacy SIEMs. The companys goal is to systematically disrupt the SIEM space to become the next market leader.
Exabeam has grown aggressively in the last three years to secure a significant piece of the SIEM market, enjoying more than 200 percent customer growth in 2018 and an increase of 80 percent in employee numbers.
The company was also recently identified as a Leader, based on completeness of vision and ability to execute, in Gartners 2018 Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management.
Exabeam delivers next-generation security management technology that enables organizations to protect their most valuable information. The Exabeam Security Management Platform combines unlimited log data collection, advanced behavioral analytics and automated incident response, all supported by Exabeams patented Smart Timelines technology that uses machine learning to track identity and behavior over time.
