New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer is headed to the Greater Houston area to debut his fifteenth illustrated childrens book in the popular series of biographies about heroes. Books-A-Million invites guests to join Brad Meltzer for a multimedia event featuring Meltzers highly anticipated book I Am Neil Armstrong. This event will take place on Thursday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at the Katy Mills store, located at 5000 Katy Mills Circle.

Set for release on September 11, Meltzer adds to his collection of heroes with an illustrated book about Neil Armstrongs journey to the moon. The friendly, fun biography series focuses on the traits that make heroes great “ the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves. Before Armstrong took those famous steps, he was a boy who loved airplanes. He learned how to fly, and when the space race began, he became a new kind of pilot: an astronaut. With bravery and patience, Armstrong and his team worked hard and, after many small steps, they took a giant leap together. They landed their lunar module on the moon.

These arent the stories of famous people. Meltzer says while discussing the series. This is what were all capable of on our very best days!

Meltzer is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Inner CircleThe Book of Fate and nine other bestselling thrillers, including The Tenth JusticeThe First CounselThe Millionaires and Shadow. In addition to his success as a writer, he is also the host of Brad Meltzers Lost History on H2 and Brad Meltzers Decoded on the History Channel. One of Meltzers core beliefs is that ordinary people can change the world, and that belief runs through the center of all of his projects.

During the free event, Meltzer will inform, entertain and share the story of the first person to walk on the moon. An audience Q&A session and book signing will follow the reading.
