L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES JOINS THE FROG BY WYPLAY ECOSYSTEM
Global systems integration powerhouse to provide end-to-end integration and software development services to digital TV operators using Wyplay’s open source solution.
Wyplay announces today that L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, the engineering services arm of the Larsen & Toubro Group, has joined the Frog by Wyplay community and is offering end-to-end integration, development and user experience design services based on Wyplay’s technology.
Frog by Wyplay is the first independent open source software solution for pay-TV operators. This comprehensive solution, based on Wyplay’s technology currently deployed in more than 10 million set-top boxes, includes all the components to build operators’ products with access to the complete source code.
Frog by Wyplay is bringing together a growing ecosystem of companies across the entire digital TV technology value chain: chipset vendors, device manufacturers, independent software vendors, software services providers and operators.
L&T Technology Services provides a one-stop-shop offering for operators when it comes to creating their digital TV solutions based on the Frog by Wyplay solution. L&T Technology Services covers the whole spectrum of activities: from device hardware, middleware and conditional access systems integration, up to application development and user interface design.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Keshab Panda, Chief Executive, L&T Technology Services, said, “We’re happy to be partnering with Frog by Wyplay and be part of this community which gives us access to the larger digital TV ecosystem”.
“L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES’s global scale and capability to handle operator projects end-to-end are a perfect fit within the Frog by Wyplay community” said Wyplay CEO Jacques Bourgninaud. “We are looking forward confidently to L&T Technology Services teams delivering successfully in all key areas required for TV operator projects.”
Frog By Wyplay is officially launched at the CES Las Vegas tradeshow in January 2014.
